The C10 opened BSA's C range of lightweight four-strokes in 1938 as a simple 249 cc sidevalve single with coil ignition and a hand-change three-speed box. A foot-change de Luxe followed in 1939 alongside the overhead-valve C11. It was an economical commuter and saw heavy military use around the outbreak of war.
